We decided we needed a family mini-vacation, so we took the kids to Vegas. It was supposed to be in the 70's, so we were looking forward to some warm weather! The trip started off with a bang when Cooper was "helping" Jeff get gas. I had taken the other two kids in to use the bathroom when I heard Cooper crying outside the bathroom door and then smelled the gas...STRONG! I guess Jeff was filling up the car and looked away for two seconds and Cooper pulled the gas nozzle out of the car and it sprayed ALL over him. It mostly got on his shirt and pants, but he did get a little on his face. Jeff flushed his eyes out and then I gave him a bath in the bathroom sink. As we were waiting for a clean pair of clothes, Cooper was embarrised that he was naked, so I told him to go wait in one of the stalls. Well, he wasn't completely naked...he had his crocs on :) So, anyway...he didn't lock the door and a lady walked in on him and he said, "I'm naked in here!" I started laughing and so did she and then he locked the door. So funny! The best part was the 3 hour drive we still had to Vegas as we were all high on gas fumes! BTW...I washed his clothes 3 times and they still smell like gas!
Being silly in the car. The kids were pretty good in the car. We did get a lot of are we there yets.
We got to Vegas around 6:00 on Friday night. (I worked the night before so I had to squeeze in a few hours of sleep). We unloaded the car and then took off to the strip. Yes, we took the kids to the strip on Friday night!!! We also kept them up till midnight. I'm pretty sure we're up for parents of the year! We parked at New York, New York and walked across the street to Hard Rock where we had dinner. Then we went next door to the M&M store and then to MGM where we let the kids pick something out at the Rainforest Cafe. We only took them about a block and I can't tell you how many dirty looks we got! This pic is standing in front of the Brooklyn Bridge.
A nice couple saw that we were taking our own picture and offered to take one for us. See...not everything in Vegas is bad :)

Dinner at the Hard Rock! The kids had fun. They loved the music and the interactive screens they had everywhere.
Each table had one and Cooper played with it the entire time. He even found the "murdercycles."

Next, we went to the M&M store. Sydni loved posing in front of all the big M&M guys.
Bridger was all about the race car they had there. He totally wanted to climb inside.
I LOVE this! I don't know if you can see the green lips on this guy, but Sydni loves the green M&M...because she's a girl. She noticed the green lips and said, "The green M&M kissed him! I'm going to kiss him too." So, she walked over to him, kicked her foot up, and layed one on him.
The rainforest cafe. We ate here last time we brought the kids, but it was like $100 for dinner and the food was not good, and the kids didn't really like it that much. They did like the gift shop though, so we brought them to pick out something fun. Cooper was not a fan of the large animals. Especially the ones that moved and made noises. There was a cheetah sitting up on a ledge that he was sure was going to jump down and eat him!
Bridger tried to put him at ease by touching the elephant and telling him he was made of plastic.
My little poser. She ended up picking that cute penguin next to her. She named her Lou Lou and then changed her name to Daisy. She kills me with her doll names. My favorite is her Hello Kitty that she named Rapunzel!
Walking back to the car, we ran into a Statue of Liberty made out of Jelly Belly's. It was pretty cool.
I had to put Bridger's picture in. He was so proud of this. He wanted to take a picture with the camera, so he got one of me giving Sydni a piggy back ride to the car.
This is SERIOUSLY less than 5 minutes after we got in the car. The kids were WIPED out!
The next morning we headed out to Primm. I LOVE the outlets out there. They have normal stores and great deals. I knew the kids wouldn't be very excited to go shopping, but they had some speed boats and racing trucks that they thought were pretty cool.
We stopped for lunch at Taco Bell! The kids hated it. They didn't eat anything...which is probably why they were so grumpy on the way back!
All they wanted to do was swim. It was supposed to be 70, but it didn't quite get there. It was more like 65. But, we suited up and braved the cold!!! The kids loved it. I stayed out in the sun where it was warm :)
Notice the lifeguard is covered from head to toe? That's because it's winter children!
Had to get the goggles...it's tradition! He hates his picture taken, but he will ALWAYS pose for a picture with the mask on...go figure.
Cooper found the playground so I took him over to play on it...soaking wet and with the lifejacket on! He went down the slide and slid down with rocket speed and flew off the end! Then he said, "Whoa mom! That's a water slide!"
This kid makes me laugh so hard! I didn't get the camera out in time to get him sitting in between baldy and mullet man. Just like he was part of the crowd...listening to their conversation. Then he started floating around SUPER slow. It was so funny to watch him because he just looked at the people and listened to them. Some of them people just ignored him...which made it funnier...and some of the people laughed at him. Jeff and I were rolling.
I love this! ALL THE LADIES!!! These guys thought he was funny and laughed at him along with us.
Cooper is not usually a poser, but he was loving all the fountains and wanted me to take his picture in front of ALL of them! Which could have been part of the reason we missed the volcano show!

This wasn't a fountain, but he still insisted on me taking his picture in front of it! The best was when he was sliding his hand up and down in between the crack of the cleavage and he said, "Look mom...it's a bone!" And I promptly agreed it was a bone! We got a few looks for that one too.

We had to get Frrrozen Hot Chocolate at Serendipity. It wasn't quite as good as the other two times I've had it, but it was still yummy!
Our waitress recommedned the deep fried Oreo sundae. I want to vomit just thinking about it! It was SO rich! We should have stuck to one dessert.
Some of the funnest times were just hanging out in the condo...jumping on the beds of course. It was nice to just spend time together and laugh.
Check out our super cute hats! We found them at the Roxy store and they were 5 bucks! That's right!
Packing up the car. I can't believe that my baby is getting so big. He had to pull a suitcase because Bridger was.
This is what it's all about. Suitcase races! I love that the kids can make a game out of anything. They ran back and forth at least 10 times, and laughed the whole time. Love it!
After we checked out, we took the kids to Mandaly Bay to the Shark Aquarium. Cooper had to stop at the water fountains.
I swear to you, the kids were MORE excited to ride the escalators than they were to go into the aquarium. We should have saved our 50 bucks and just found all the escalators to ride in the hotel!
They had a place where you could touch the sting rays and horseshoe crabs...those things are funky looking! Jeff and I touched them but we couldn't get the kids to do it. Cooper at least put his hands in the water and Bridger had his jacket off. He was SO close, but he just couldn't do it!
These jellyfish were AWESOME! I could have stayed and watched them for a long time.
These were lion fish. The kids wanted them to come down to them, but they hung out at the top.
